Restaurant Review of:
Stone & Vine
9343 East Shea Blvd.,
Scottsdale, AZ 85260
(Italian Cuisine)

Stone & Vine is a casual-dining, Urban Italian restaurant offering wood fired pizza, paninis, pasta & risotto, and other entrees.  I have had their lasagna, chicken parmesan, asparagus risotto, spaghetti bolognese, and fettuccini alfredo.   All were very good, however my favorite dish, so far, is the Penne Vodka.  It was truly incredible with the perfect balance of garlic and other fresh ingredients...the best that I've had anywhere!  My favorite appetizer is their Caprese; it has four large, thick slices of HOMEMADE mozzarella cheese, beefsteak tomatoes, and the perfect balance of basil, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar.  If you enjoy Brie cheese & Goat cheese, you will love the appetizer pictured here.  This is their Herb Crusted Brie with crostinis and Goat Cheese Stuffed Figs.  Their soups and salads are  very good.  Pictured here, is the Pasta e Fagoli and Minestrone soup; they are even more amazing with freshly shaved Parmesan Cheese on top.  For dessert, we tried their Mini Cannolis and a slice of Tiramisu.  Both were EXCELLENT!  The servers are friendly, very professional, and knowledgable, and the manager (or owner) always comes by to check on everything, as well.
