Halloween Cupcakes: Devil's Chocolate & Orange Swirls

BUTTERCREAM FROSTING: Easy as 1,2,3!



"It's as simple as 1, 2, 3!"

You only need to watch a minute of the video to see the recipe. It starts at the one minute mark.

1.) Sift 4 cups of powdered sugar (confectioner's sugar) and set aside.

2.) Blend 2 slicks (16 Tablespoons) of butter until smooth and creamy.

3.) Add to the bowl of butter:

          1 Tablespoon milk

          1 teaspoon vanilla extract
         
          1 teaspoon almond extract

Then add the sifted sugar into the bowl (a little at a time) until it's as creamy as frosting.

(If you don't have a piping bag, you can put the frosting in a baggie. Squeeze the frosting down to one corner, and snip off the corner. This will make a rounded swirl. Start at the center of the cupcake, bring the frosting around the surface, then start circling in towards the center as you go higher until you reach the center peak. Push down gently to get the frosting flow to stop and immediately up to get a round top or curl.)
